Miki is surprised when instead of fear at the two men's approach she feels the same rush she felt before while smashing the skulls of the horrors back at the school. She sees Angelo slipping up behind the gunman and is ready when he grabs him and threatens him with a scalpel causing his partner's attention to move away from her.

She moves with a burst of speed covering the space between her and him in three steps. He turns back towards her sensing her but too late and sees the bat in her hands coming at his face. The bat lands with a metallic crack snapping his head back and sending him falling backwards to land with a thud onto the concrete surrounding the fuel Island.

When she turns towards the other man her eyes are smoldering with excitement.
