Evvie's muscles in her left arm strained as they pushed against the water that was now wrapping around the staff. Having fought against flexible weapons before she had considered that the bendy nature of the water would do the same to her here, but she had no choice but to put herself into this situation due to needing the block the previous attack by it, coming up with no other way to do so in such a short amount of time. At least as far as she was concerned she still did the right thing but the water was still a very big issue and in her backfield now. She had bought herself very little time and there was too much water wrapping around her defenses then what would be preferable, but she could still do something to help herself out here. Rather then hit her more vulnerable spine/neck region she tilted forward as quickly as she could, the tendril of water smacking into the slope of her tough skull to result in a far more glancing blow. She could feel the back of her head become wet either from the water or her own blood, or more than likely both. It certainly hurt bad enough for it to be her blood, all right. The flames and metal of her suit appearing over her body now extended up to her head area so would hopefully do something to stop the water there from further misdeeds. As much as a pain and a distraction that attack was she still had to do something about the other one. As she was bending downwards, both forcefully and intentionally, she reached out her right hand to try to stop the tip of the water should it come out to attack within reach of her hand. Her armor spread out from the gauntlet on her right arm so it was already completely formed on her arm, the rest of her body well on the way to completion as well. She knew that attack could very well bend in this attack as well but if she had the tip contained then this would limit the water's options, she hoped. Plus, like her block with the staff, it would buy just a little more time for her should she succeed.
