The first man down never knew what hit him, the blade slicing his neck from behind, cutting his windpipe and jugular up under his helmet. The second felt the blade pierce up into his heart and his mouth fell open, but it was too late to cry out a warning to his compatriots, his last breath escaping in a soundless sigh.
