Piper is an attractive Lady of Color. She has an afro that she takes good care of. She likes wearing large, dangling earrings. She isn't as dark skinned as some African Americans, but she's not considered lighter either. She has black eyes and rosy lips (all-natural, thank you). She was graced with a solid complexion. Piper is most proud of her curvy figure. If she's out and about she's usually showing it off.

Most people consider Piper completely vain and self centered upon first impression. She cares about how she looks, knows she's good looking and isn't above using it to get her way. However once you get to know her, you'll find out that she's not above menial tasks. She doesn't mind getting dirty, wither it's for work or to help a stranger. She is also quite conscious of how other people feel. She believes in the best of everyone and is reluctant to believe bad of people. She is a loyal person and it's incredibly hard to loose her trust. Most of all she believes in doing the right thing and to have no regrets.

Piper loves to have a good time. Even if it's getting together with friends and chatting or going to a party. Piper is very much a social creature and needs to be around someone. The only exception is when she's working on a motorcycle. Then she'd rather be left alone.

Piper lastly is fatalistic. She knows she's going to die. In some ways she wants to. But she sure isn't going down without a fight. She goes into anything she does with a complete willingness and aforethought.  The thing she expects to kill her is a Crusader, but she kind of hopes that one day she'll be able to "stick it" to the Technopath.

Piper was the oldest child of two. Her younger brother Sam was a year younger than her. Her parents Dean and Carla were very wealthy. They gave her whatever she wanted, be it designer clothes or the newest toy. Her early childhood was a happy one. She and her brother had everything they could ever want or need. The only downside was that her parents were never around.

In Piper's teen years she dropped out of school. She then left home and went to work doing odd jobs around the town fixing things. That period of finding herself lead her to go back to a technical school so she could learn to work on motorcycles. It was also in this time that her brother discovered he was different. He came to live with Piper when she was seventeen and he was sixteen.

Life was good for the two. Sam was a junior in High School. He was working hard because he wanted to get into a good college. Piper also knew he worked harder because he didn't want to end up like Piper. Piper didn't mind, she was doing what she loved, even if she didn't have any money to support herself. 

When Piper was eighteen the walls came up. Poor Sam never stood a chance. His powers were so passive that when the Crusaders invaded Piper's apartment he was dead within seconds. The horror and devastation left behind drove Piper away from her home and onto the streets. When the power never came back Piper ended up with a few other people who were good with fixing things. They called themselves the fixers and set off trying to find a sustainable power supply. 

They scavenged and hoarded. As the city settled down in the ensuing years they began to grow in numbers. But not too many, never enough to draw attention to themselves for their main source of power was fallen Crusaders, before they could be cannibalized by their kin.

Piper, now twenty-eight, hadn't joined the resistance in the beginning. She had continued with the Fixers trying to find a way to escape. In fact, in some ways she still hasn't joined. But she and her fellow fixers give them whatever help they can. She maintains an apartment building and is quite respected by those who know her. No one knows she's a Fixer or part of the Resistance. Unless they're a part of it already.

Jack's kind of a simple person. I don't really trust him. Well, I trust him to do what's best for him. Not for me. He seems like a good guy, but he endangers all that I've helped build. And that takes precedence over a lot of things. Though if he keeps away it's all good in my book.

When I first meet Ruben I though he was mute. I helped gather a few parts for his leg. But other than that I don't really know him. I think he prefers it that way.

Mahmud's a good guy. Even though I keep trying to call him Muhammad. I've done it a few times and it's made me feel super racist. It's because of Mahmud that the Resistance and I have formed a working relationship, even though I still remain apart.

Wendy is a naive. And I should know. We both try to see the best in people. Though she worries too much about offending other people. Which is weird because she's older than me. Which I tend to forget and sometimes start thinking of her as younger. I do hope I don't come off as condescendingly arrogant.

The first thing I noticed about Naomi was her eyes. I even objected to her joining, though in the end I let her. However, I still keep an eye on her. She's hiding something. And I wont let my guard down until I know what it is.

Jeff, or Silver Wolf (Which is a ridiculous name), is a patronizing ***. Just because I have no fancy powers he thinks I cannot defend myself. The guy really needs to learn to see the world in other hues than black and white. Just because I cannot throw down doesn't mean I can't take care of myself. 

[b]Katerina Sapienti[/b]
Kat's like a sister I never had. She just makes me want to hide her from the world. Which is kind of distracting. At least when I look at her I know she has people who care for her and she wont turn out like me.

Phoebe is an odd ball. I see her watching me, but we've never talked. The young girl always just watches. In some ways, it's kind of creepy. I know lots of shy people. Around this city you never know who's a mutant and who's not. But I also know curiosity. One day she'll talk to me. Just not yet.

If Kayin wasn't a teen, I would call her an absent minded professor. I've never talked to her, but something tragic lays behind her eyes. I cannot help but wonder who scarred her and why.

You know, I'm not the type of person that really respect other human beings, however assholish that sounds, but Piper is one tough cookie. She hasn't even got any powers, yet she tries her best against that mecha-making jackass of a technopath. She's got some spunk and I respect that.
Ruben has a bit of a crush on her, I think. I can tell because of the slight rise in his temperature, the distinct scent of his hormonal change and, well, because he's my twin brother and I know everything about him.

Piper is, uhh, easy on the eyes. That's the first thing that comes to mind. She's also brave and cool and nice; I mean, she's got more going on that just her looks. She and her Fixers helped me get the parts I needed to construct my leg, so I'm eternally grateful to her.
For some reason, Jacques act sort of different when she's around. He's not as … jerkish. He acts kinda like a dog, however weird that sounds.

Jeff had come across her path a few times. He never knew what the story was with that woman. She seemed to have her fingers in every pie around the city somehow. Still, Jeff believes she can be trusted. However, he does his best not to get too close, a strong woman like that could make him lose focus too easily.

We've met once and I felt self conscious right away, it's not that I have no confidence at all but next to her it barely exists. I don't blame her though because that's just me. Actually I admire how she can be so confident. I can tell she's not afraid to die and while she doesn't have an outright deathwish, she's waiting for it. I wanted to talk to her about it, to see what she has to say. There are more people counting on her than she realizes.

Jealous of her, is how I think Phoebe would first feel. Jealous that not only is she attractive, but that she puts time in and has the confidence to show off. Phoebe would likely be fairly polite and timid around her at first because of this.

Her determination and self-confidence aren’t traits that Kayin knows herself to like in other people. That said, Piper surprised her and turned out to be a reliable, down-to-earth person. Kayin disagrees with her that such a valuable ally should be so certain of their own inevitable death, though. She of all people should try to stay alive as hard as she can. (If there was anyone Kayin trusted to help cut her hair, it would be Piper.)
