So the vampires I know i want to use are those that cannot walk in daylight. Those that burn when touched with direct sunlight though the sun irritates them vastly. A few have items enchanted by witches allow them to walk the sunlight though their bodies have an issue with being awake during the day. They have no issue with churches and holy items, holy water easily drank. Weak to fire for the most part, a stake through the heart incapacitates them, but if missed it can lead to their anger. Beheading them in this state is the only sure way to kill them, as long as the body is burned and the ashes scattered. Some manifest their own unique powers and those created of strong vampires tend to only be stronger than the average bloodline. A human is turned by ingesting their blood and killed shortly afterward, traditionally, though they can be turned while still alive if they are fed both vampire blood and human blood while they live. Wooden bullets also cause a fair amount f pain. Hunters are born, live and healthy, and no normal human can stand up to a real vampire. Those how can have a special ability, they can follow and track the movements of the average vampire. Their senses are slightly above average and they know and learn faster than they should be. These humans are part witch, part demon or the descendant of one who had tried to become a vampire through drinking large quantities of vampire blood. It's strange, I know, but these humans are few in number as almost no one lives through the process when they do not become a vampire. How do these things work?
