It would be interesting with something rather casual on a vampire theme... We peeked at it the other day, but got distracted by something shiny...

The scenario above isn't really all that unique... As vampire stories go, witches and werewolves are among the most common groups to be with them. Not to mention... Vampires tend to have all sorts of physical advantages... granting them a reprieve from the daylight makes it very easy to end up with them being very much overpowered.

The most common form of vampire hunter that we've seen is the kind where they secretly hunt vampires, trying just as much to hide the truth as the vampires are... It varies whether they're more powerful than baseline humans or not, but both of those are pretty common...
A scenario that isn't often seen is that of hunters trying to reveal vampires for what they are and the vampires doing their best to disprove their own existence.

Quick thought:  
Are the vampires born as vampires, turned into vampires (by other vampires) or will either of those work? 
(the last alternative can create multiple "classes" within vampire society, with the born ones considering themselves superior to the turned ones)

As for the weaknesses for vampires: those seem to make sense.
