[b]Day 1: 27th April, 2015, Monday, 8.00 Am, Washington, D.C.[/b]

Shay sped down the hill on her bike. She screamed and turned the bike when a woman appeared suddenly from behind the corner. The bike tipped over and threw her off, onto the concrete sidewalk. The woman flipped her off and mumbled something about stupid kids while she walked away probably on her way to work. 

She looked down at her knee and saw bright red. She hopped up on one leg and picked up her bike. She wobbled and limped her way into a convenience store down on the corner. She pulled her bike inside and leaned it against the wall. Heading to the bathroom, she used a paper towel and cleaned the cut as best she could. Walking back into the store she bought a box of Hello Kitty bandages. She had one covering her knee before she even got the receipt back. 

Moving her bike out of the store and back onto the street, Shay hopped up eagerly and began pedal king down towards the National Mall.
