[@HylianRose]I see, maybe Grimm's mother could be one of their nieces/nephews, perhaps even Maria's older sister, who ran away from the family in order to pursue her dream of helping the world, which would eventually lead her to Grimm's father. She'd basically be the never mentioned black sheep of the family, maybe.
