He's hiding, since he, himself, is not really a match for most other supers; without his "inventions" (in this case the Crusaders), he's very vulnerable. Since there are people around that could sneak past the Crusaders and straight into his "bedroom" and smother him in his sleep, he's smart enough to not take any chances.

I didn't know that. I assumed he was lording it over them in some sort of fortress. (I read too many fantasy novels. Haha.) I'll make sure to remember that.
