i was actually in the mood for some science fiction as well. the only problem is i get uncomfortable rping in a universe i know nothing about, and the only sci-fi universes that i know is star wars and warhammer40k, which reduced my options a little bit on these forums :P (although they are two of the more popular universes!)

i do have a question about equipment though. how common are personal shield generators in star wars? i never saw a single person use them in the movies :P
