Having had to live on one's own for a good amount of time? She's had to have been a bit of a scrapper. Learning how to fight comes with that? They hit the flank, causing confusion. Not everyone is focusing on her all at once. She came from obscuring smoke and cover, swiftly at that to boot. I was under that assumption at least.
