No. He can absorb energy and expell it again. So he can redirect power. Either from spells or by drawing energy from his surroundings.Blighting the area and fatigueing creatures. But when expelling it must be in a shape he can channel. I.e. positive/negative energy or heat.

This ability might need some conditions to activate or something. Aside from rp reasons I shouldn't be able to use this at will. Not on a large scale at least.
