[b]-Government Involvement:[/b] The Unity Party acknowledges the lack of a safety net for some citizens as an important issue. That the elderly and infirm are well taken care of after a long life in our nation should not be up for debate, and the pensions must be adjusted to account for their well-being. Other welfare programs are not a priority, as these 'band-aids' will not help build our nation in the long-term. Instead the Unity Party will look elsewhere to patch these issues in our state.

[b]-Economy:[/b] The economy is in shambles. A nationalization of industry is a bold move, and one that should not be discouraged if done properly. The Unity Party will oversee and salvage the efficient and working parts of the national industries, and provide opportunities for private industry to purchase what will not function for the government to run. We must find a specialization on the global market and harness it as a nation. Alcohol sales should be nationalized.

[b]-Taxes:[/b] The junk food tax is a misapplied sales tax that unfairly targets low-income housing. A universal and scaled sales tax will allow the nation to reestablish itself and then ease back to stimulate trade in the future.

[b]-Military:[/b] The Unity Party believes the military is in dire need of modernization, and should always be kept in proper shape. Whether as national defense or international peace-keeping, we must be properly equipped to face the modern age. UTC must present a strong outward image to dissuade the opportunistic on a national scale.

[b]-Environment: [/b]Great but careful steps must be taken to ensure the continued well-being of the environment. Legislation that protects green areas and restricts emission should be considered and implemented further, so long as it does not thoroughly impact a restoring economy.

[b]-Citizen Rights: [/b]Raising the voting age was a ploy by the previous administration to remove their greatest detractors. It should be lowered to 16 years of age and allow young adults to get involved with the growth of their nation. We should consider the possibility of lowering the drinking age as well.

[b]-Education:[/b] The nation's schools require great overhaul and an increase in budget. Zero hour contracts are contrary to the purpose of a national pedagogue and their working environments naturally need to reflect the important part they play in our growing society. Students and teachers should be incentivized for good result, with oversight.

[b]-Health-Care:[/b] The Unity Party will study this issue closer before forming a final decision on how to best approach the current health-care situation.

[b]-Emergency Services:[/b] Some degree of centralization is required. Major overhauls within the structure of our nation's police force would be advisable, to the extent that the current budget allows. On the same point, our fire services are currently excelling, and should be expanded to provide additional service to their capacity.

[b]-Immigration:[/b] With the situation in Civitas as dire as it is, our nation must safeguard itself against weakness both within and without. Arrivals from other nations put an increasing strain on an infrastructure that already has issues. A division of culture also fragments our focus as a nation.

[b]-Other:[/b] The Unity Party has been around for some time, though it was long a voiceless, near invisible opponent to the previous administration (and almost everyone else). They are notorious for preaching unity between all peoples while still forwarding a divisive, nationalistic agenda and previously refusing compromise. Following the exodus of voters from the previously ruling government, they have been refurbished with a considerably larger base and a fresh, seemingly pragmatic viewpoint.[/hider]
