Grinning, Balon let the mermaid go up the ladder first. He didn't mind, I mean who would mind watching the behind of a beautiful woman? Discreetly, that is. It's all about staying classy about it. He grabs the ladder and waits until Leo is up all the way before climbing it. "You look a bit green, miss." Balon says tauntingly as he pops his head out of the hole in the floor of the treehouse. It's quite roomy, and has two rooms. The hole is in the middle of the big room, with the "kitchen" area (it's not much) at one end and a table at the other end. It has two simple chairs (everything is simple) and a bunch of shelves that are quite empty at the moment, but it seems Balon has done what he can to fill them. The doorway to the other room has no door. The second room isn't as big as the other, but it has a simple (although comfy-looking) bed, with a trunk at the other end of the room which probably contains all his clothes. "I've been meaning to craft some sort of weapon-stand where I can put my swords when I'm not using them, but seeing as I -just- got this thing finished the other day, I... Haven't done much. But it's a start." He gestured with open hands toward the cottage. The windows were glass-less but had shutters. He went up to one and leaned out of it, taking a breath in. "This is what we're all about, Leo. We haven't come here to conquer, or cause pain to your people." He looked at her, serious for a moment. "We just want a home to call our own. I think Blythe even named this island "Paradise" or something."
