Sofia is the mother of Valenna Mancini and is currently missing. She met Valenna's father, Valtreks, while he was training to become Belzeneff's Protector. They had been dating for a year when Sofia got pregnant. Their daughter was born healthy, but on the very same week, Valtrek's brother Valor died in battle and Valtreks became depressed. He wouldn't come home for days and he was hard to talk to, and eventually Sofia grew impatient with him and decided to leave him. Her plan was to move to the East and start a new life there, but her income and savings were only enough to support her comfortably and not her daughter. But Valtreks' family were rich and would have no trouble in raising Valenna so she left her with Valtreks. She currently resides in the East and successfully got the life she wanted.
