I think it would be fair to assume your two characters got to know each other and have been given orders to target the boss vamps and defend Kilo point. KP has some important communications, equipment, and is protecting one of SOLDIER's human council members. 

Why don't you put Katya on guard or in the city hunting vampires or something? DiZL will time skip too and I'm sure will join her.
