[hider=Answer] They stated in that episode that Gems and Humans can't fuse but Steven should be able to do both because he is not all Gem but not all human either. Plus I can't see one of her parents as a Gem or even part Gem...they are very against anything weird and I think they would notice a Gem somewhere on the body. It would be interesting if they found a way for a full Gem and a full human to fuse[/hider]
