"it's just you thought I was bullying her." Kalinda said with mild amusdment, "I poke people because I don't give a damn about personal space, and it's a nice way to get their attention without, say, throwing a book at their heads." she chuckled and rose, just as the girl did. "your hair is fine, just unusual." it annoyed her Mildly that even standing to her fall height, she was just that tad shorter then the other girl. It was always so. Out on the street, it wasn't bad. It meant that she could steal things easily, and at least be gaurenteed of an apple or orange for food. Maybe some bread. And it was an advantage in fighting, especially since she had honed her abilities to perfection, maintaining good flexibility and was stronger then anyone suspected she would be, given her size. Gave her a good advantage over others. She followed the girl to the boys desk, and oth barely any thought, or any qualms, she sat on te desk, twisting around to face them both, crossing her legs. She perched there easily, and perhaps for the first time in the classroom, indeed perhaps the first time that day, she smiled. She didn't smile in what would be considered a feminine way, instead, she smiled with her mouth wide open, showing her teeth, crinkles forming in he corner of her eyes, and kt seemed that at any moment, she might just laugh. "I am Kalinda" she said, her voice soft now, but it was still impossible to tell what her accent was, "but most people just call me Kali"
