Not bad. Though, keep in mind that you may be asked questions IC that will require a probable scientific explanation. I wouldn't necessarily use the evolution from bacteria, since that's not how even Darwinian Evolution works. You could just as easily use adaptation due to a previous environment, if you can learn how they biologically developed internal cores.
