Mithias made his way casually through the wilderness before arriving at the scrapheap that was now Kilo Point city. Going slow gave him time to be wary, and to think. They had survived a full month now since the war officially began, but there were still a lot of enemies to kill, a lot of necessary slaughter to be had. Kaminokage had yet to be seen. Presumably, Kami had suffered severe injuries at the hands of Magnus, and any human, bionic or otherwise would need time to heal. The psychotic Purge were much less than they had been since human infrastructure had been broken down. Hopefully, they would have no chance to create more robotic vampire hunters, but their secret labs had not yet been discovered. Various roads in the city were warded with armed humans and fires. Of course people still lived here, and they had to band together for support just as the vampires did. The lights in KP Soldier base were on, but of course it was a military base, not a shelter. There was no way it could function if it served as a refugee camp for the entire city. Mithias recalled visions of the past, sights from within the base, a summer sunset long ago. He remembered the white tanks rolling up Main street pouring fire out their muzzles. He would see those days come to an end forever. Mithias lept high and climbed up the back of an old apartment building. From the top he could look around much more effectively, as the darkness hid nothing from his vampire sight. He walked to the ledge, not half as cautiously as he would have had he been back in his Soldier days, hunting his own kind like a fool. Alone, he let his eyes unfocus for a moment and drift down to the streetcorner below. It was wide and round, like the one he had last played on. Had he forgotten the violin? Had he forgotten than humans made that, could feel emotion, and had he forgotten the mercy of the blonde hunter who had spared his life in Alaska? ...the pact he had made with his father, and where was the lying devil now?! He had escaped him, like always, and had certainly not invited 'the boy.' It was obvious why. Mithias was dead to him, just as he had said, and always had been since his creation. "When you look upon me, all you can see are my ashes." Mithias repeated, settling into cold acceptance of eternity abandoned. A plane took off from within KP base. So, Soldier still had air power did they?
