Wes
Location: Magnolia => Phoenix Wing Guild Hall It took awhile, but Wes finally arrived in Magnolia. Unsure if anyone would recognize him since he aged for about ten years in Edolas compared, rarely showed himself to any members of the guild, and has a stumble that he still has since he left Edolas. Initially planning to go straight to the guild, he decided to postpone his destination and talk to some of the people in town to see how Phoenix Wing was doing. He found it strange as to why some members from the guild would stop him and Gentsai. As he spoke to a few people about Phoenix Wing’s recent events, his thoughts grew in disbelief. Perhaps there was some confusion. But as he continued talking to more people, he could listen any further as he began to believe them and the news that they brought to him. At that point, he began leaving the streets of Magnolia to talk to Jamie in person. Once he left the streets, he noticed two girls saying good bye to someone. One of the girls looked familiar, probably because one of them he faced in Edolas. But he choose to ignore them as he walked pass them and approached the guild. He was about to enter, but as he slowly opened the door, he could hear a battle coming to an end and some discussion happening. Choosing to wait, he couldn’t help think about a few things that popped into his mind while he was listening, a few things he thought and wondered why he didn’t do them before. This was his time and he decided to walk in, sighing as he could see what happened behind the door. “Jamie, it’s been awhile and I heard you were looking for me.” Saying as he faintly made smirk that soon faded to a frown. “But you didn’t have to look for me, I already had a way back to Earthland. I already spoke to the people in Magnolia and at first I didn’t believe them, but quickly realized that they don’t lie. Apparently I was only gone for about three months as the evidence could be shown here in Earth Land, but my body was away for ten years in Edolas.” Scratching his head, he felt a bit bad interrupting what was going on, but he had to say. “I’m sorry for interrupting with what’s been going on just now, but this has to be said. Jamie, when I first joined the guild, I needed to find a place that I could trust and believe in, something or someplace that I could understand. But I was a fool to not realize it later, probably because I was rarely around the guild to notice. But to the point, I don’t trust you Jamie, I can’t understand you and because of it, I don’t see myself following someone with your actions. Attacking the Magic Council the way you did was the limit, you pushed this world's a balance in such a way that will have major repressions that we can’t fully control. I can understand that you did it to help people, but you’re only going to put more people in danger. Just like that girl over there.” He pointed to Amelia who was recovering from her fatal injury. “Sure, maybe you can protect them, but not everyone at once, not forever. There was this saying that I heard, ‘you either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain’. Maybe you’re thinking that something like that won’t happen. But we can’t predict the future. As we grow, adapt, learn, we gain something new that makes us little different than who and what we were yesterday. While I was in Edolas, I lost my memory and became someone else. When I returned to Earthland, I regained my memory and retained the memory of who I was in Edolas. It was then that I knew I couldn’t be both that person and myself, no matter how close we actually were. That’s why I left the group that I was with and came here. As I came here I wondered why the guild attacked my group in Edolas, which was when I heard that they also attacked the Council as I passed through Magnolia. That was something I didn’t want to become, a fighter, your kind of fighter Jamie. There are different kinds out there, but after seeing what you taught and caused the guild members become when I saw them fight in Edolas do and how you used them to fight the Council. I realized, the guild that I remember joining ten years ago, is not the same one that I see now. I don’t know where you’re leading the guild, but I don’t want to be a part of it, especially with you.” He said as his looked at Jamie. Slowly walking and motioning up the stairs where his room was, but before walking up, he stopped and faced Jamie, closer, eye to eye. “I should have said something a long time ago and now is a better time than any. But I’m leaving the guild. I can’t stay somewhere I don’t even know what my own guild master actually looks like. I’m sorry Jamie, but that's not the only reason that I don’t trust you. I know you tried looking for me, but I wished you could have tried another way of doing it than how you did.”
