Master Jamie Master Jamie chuckled, "My mother named me Jamie upon my birth, and called me Jamie until the day she died, when I was still but a kid. And I do not hide behind any masks, but rahter, I shift between aspects of myself. And I do not keep my appearance hidden from all. Jarvis knows my true appearance, And, actually, so does Ayame, and Nero, as well as Ariel, although they do not know that they know. I do not hide my appearance, but rather, in the forms that I wear, I show more of myself then my true form would show. So. Care to try and find another reason as to why-" but Jamie was interrupted as Wes entered the guild That solved one thing, but then Wes started to speak. Jamie listened, uncertainty crossing his features, and Jamie seemed to deflate as if each sentence Wes spoke was beating her down. It was Jarvis that spoke up, fury in his voice, "You speak of upsetting the balance, and yet, you support what you and your group in edolas has done, bringing those from Edolas here. You do not thin that that will upset the balance? Because it will, it already has, and it will continue to do so until they are returned to their home world. You cannot imagine the consequences that would have happened if all the edolasians had been transferred here!" Jarvis took a breath, but Jamie held up a hand. "The magical council was corrupt. Masahiko has acknowledged that our actions were perhaps a little excessive, and yet, is thankful for our interaction. I fully expect some sort of repercussion for that, and have already proceed to protect both the people of fiore, and the guild. I tried every single way I could to find you, and I did indeed ask the Council for the information we needed, but, Alas, Kalinda refused any request, even going so far as to intercept those I sent to Masahiko. It was then that I knew that I would have to take drastic action. I gave the guild the option of joining, or staying behind. Jarvis is correct. Those of the guild that had ended up in edolas did what they thought was right, for our world, and Edolas. No good can come of what you, and those you were with, have done Wes. Just with you in Edolas, there have been some serious consequences. Demons have been appearing, as well as an increasing in ancient magics. I shudder to think of what you have done, allowing those Edolasians to come here. So perhaps it is best if you do leave, but you will always be welcome. As for my true form, There are reasons I do not share it. One being that it could endanger the guild, something I will not do." At Jack's speech to Wes, Jamie looked over at him, and gave a slight nod of thanks, but Jamie's expression had darkened, and almost seemed completely and utterly saddened, and seemed to have taken Wes's words perhaps harder then Wes had thought she would. Jamie turned away, back towards the captured Death/Jack. That was going to get confusing. They should figure out another name for her. Jamie sighed heavily, and took out a lacrima from a pocket, chucking it to Rose, "Use that every day on her. It will take away her magical energy, leaving enough for her to live on" His voice seemed monotonous, emotionless as she spoke and there seemed to be a finality to the Jamie's words. Jamie turned to Jarvis and smiled a small, sad smile. "We always knew some members would leave. I just never imagined that it would hurt as much as it has. The lose of family always hurts" Jamie looked to Jack, and the image, "Of course I know about that. I also know that not everything is as it seems when it happens, and that people have been afraid of magic for 100 years. And that everyone deserves a chance. I suppose its foolish of me to expect the same of my guild members, and yet, I did. I suppose a parent always wants the best for their children" and here, emotion over came Jamie, a sudden shuddering of her voice and Jamie's form seemed to waver a moment, to what seemed to be an older version of the little girl which had been in the Edolas guild, flickering back to his normal form. "Children can't be protected for ever, I suppose. Go learn what you need to, Wes, and perhaps when you can trust yourself again, then you can trust me, can trust this guild once more" Jamie looked to Jack once more, and said, "if you give me a few moments, I can talk with you soon. I want to see to the Amelia, make sure there isn't any lasting damage, and show Rose where she can keep the girl" Jamie nodded to death/Jack, her tone seeming to return to normal, but a darkness seemed to cloud everything as Jamie spoke, moving towards his office, dashing away tears that fell despite Jamie's control. Just as Jamie closed the door, she heard Jarvis say, "You know nothing, Wes, but judgements based on tidbits of information. Perhaps you should take your own words to heart, and learn that perhaps you are becoming a villain, especially if you cannot see the danger you have put Fiore in" Any other words, Jamie didn't hear, as she shoved papers off her desk, to land on the floor, moving through them almost like a hurricane, finally, gently, picking up a fading, torn, and crinkled picture of the little girl. "Would things have been different, Sammy, if I could have saved you? If I could have protected you? Am I doing the right thing? Have I been doing the right thing? How can I know?" Jamie sank down in his chair, staring at the picture, at perfect innocence, only for a few seconds before her eyes blurred with tears. She dropped the photo in his lap, and sighed heavily. Jamie remembered the day they had first held the the baby Sam. The memory rose unbidden. Flash Back it seemed more then impossible that such a small being could mean so much, Jamie thought, as they stared at the small bundle that was Jamie's daughter. Pink skinned, bright blue eyes looking up at Jamie with such incredible intensity that seemed to see right into Jamie's soul. A spattering of freckles over her nose and checks, and a flop of blond hair were all that Jamie could see, as the little girl was wrapped in a pink blanket. As the midwife handed Jamie the child, Jamie wondered if it was safe to hold the child, she seemed so breakable, but seemed to fit safely in Jamie's arms, as if she fit there perfectly. ""Hello Sam" Jamie didn't now what to say, or do, as they looked down at the baby, who had managed to get a hand out of the blankets and wrapped it around a finger as Jamie watched. Nothing could describe the feeling that Jamie felt right then. Overwhelmed, Jamie hugged Sam closer. End Flash back As Jamie came out of the memory, he wondered why he bothered. Her eyes fell upon the mark on her hand, that seemingly like bird. Perhaps its time Jamie rose, and composed himself, before heading back out, "Okay Jack. Lets talk" Sasha Sasha twisted around to let Lazarus attack, glancing about for the attacker, seeing a dark glad figure. She could help but think that the attacker wasn't trying to harm them, and she frowned, looking about, filled with unease. She bit her lip, shivering slightly, just as the dark clad figure appeared in front of them, seemingly unhurt by Lazarus's attacks. "Tsk tsk. I expected more from you. Such a shame, such a shame" they sighed, "Perhaps I expected more, and let my expecations cloud my-" Sasha was suddenly tired beyond belief, and more then a little annoyed at this, at what seemed like such foolishiness. She clenched her hands into fists, she brought up one fist, to connect solidly with the strangers chin. "Then you should attack us when we are tired if you expected more!" she said, but her words were useless, as the black clad figured disappeared.
