Name: Knight Commander Sir Daryn O’Leary Side: Tech Sex: Male Age: 34 Race: Human Cyborg Appearance:

(Daryn sporting a artic outfit along with implants) Daryn’s outside appearance is perhaps some of the only human left in him. His hair is a natural auburn color, though the only natural hair he still has on his body is his eyebrows and the occasionally unshaven facial hair. Due to his refusal to have cosmetic surgery, his nose appears to have been broken at the bridge and his whole nose is somewhat swollen in size. He isn’t particularly attractive, but he’s nothing bad to look at either. Since adolescence he’s always had a slim figure, and it wasn’t until his years at the academy that he truly started to put on muscle. When shirtless, the faint glow of cybernetic wiring running beneath his skin can be seen. Also, on the back of his neck, between his shoulder blades, and along his forearms are what appear to be circular connection ports. They are metallic, and often times Daryn must ignore the urge to itch them, as itching provides no relief to the phantom feeling. Personality: Fitting the archetype of the valiant soldier who is “getting a little tired of this shit”, Daryn is tired of fighting, but knows that it must continue. Viewing magic as “inhuman and unholy” Daryn is never disillusioned with his quest to destroy the magic that has invested his ancestral homeworld. He jokes though, because if he didn’t he might get so exhausted with the constant fighting that he might quit. Funnily enough, his colleagues find him easy going, and fun to be around when not on duty. There is a hint of sarcasm in his speech, something that Daryn has tried hard to quell when dealing with sources of authority. He is charismatic and has a way with words, this makes him an excellent leader. He does what needs to be done when it needs to, and has no problem making sacrifices if it means accomplishing the mission. While Daryn may not share all of the believes of the Catholic Church, he does believe in helping his fellow man, and taking care of others. He also believes in delivering the world from the unholy magic users which have held it hostage these past years. Faction: The Order of the Knights of Saint Peter of Verona a.k.a The Knights of Saint Peter, Formerly the UFH Military. Biography: Daryn was born on the starship Faith, and was raised as an Irish Catholic. Growing up as a Catholic was not necessarily popular among the technological advanced human society, much of which had come to shake off the bindings of religion long ago, but none the less, Daryn was raised as a Catholic. Not really having any particular skills other than a charismatic way of speaking, Daryn decided to head a career as a military officer might suit his personality. He went to the Federation's Officer Academy and did reasonably well as a cadet, and graduated in the top 15% of his class. Upon graduation he was approached to become an enhanced soldier under the Federation military's Enhanced Warfighter Program. This program provided him with a series of cybernetic implants that imrpoved his abilities as a soldier and officer. He served for a time in Federation military, but when the decision was made to return to Earth, and the discovery of the Magi made, Daryn felt an internal conflict. While he did posses a sense of patriotism to the Federation, as a Christian he held an overwhelming sense of disgust as the magic infestation. Ultimately Daryn disagreed witht emajority of Federation politicians who were in favor of avoiding armed conflict and became more aligned with those who held a more radicalized views. As soon as his term ended, Daryn joined other ex-military veterans and members of the Church who felt their Christian duty was to bring an end to the unholy and demonic nature that had gripped their homeworld. Saint Peter of Verona, an inquisnitor and matyr of his own time, is the Catholic patron saint of Inquistors and Midwives. Daryn and his companions decided to dedicate their order to him and his accomplishments ridding the world of heretics so many centuries ago. He has since sought out and brought justice to the heinous witches and unholy magic users that plagued Earth's surface. Skills: He can play the ukulele rather well and cures his own meats. Abilities: Reflexive hardwiring: One of the most important skills in a soldier's repertoire is the ability to fire reflexively. Daryn’s brain and body have been wired with network of sensors and signals that allow him to successfully identify and respond to threats within a fraction of a second Musculoskeletal implants - series of implants throughout Dary's body. Primary purpose is to increase resistance of bone to cracking and breaking, and fostering of muscle health, prevention of musculoskeletal injury. Ocular Enhancements - Acting as biological binoculars, Daryn’s eyes are equipped with a series of mapping sensors. His vision distance and clarity is greatly increased. Connection Ports - A series of connection ports on Daryn’s arms, back and neck allow him to attach external technologies to increase his performance. These can be attachments that improve survivability in certain environments, sustainability implants allowing longer time in the field, or even combat equipment such as mountable weapon systems. Possessions: Excalibur Mk. IV Battle Rifle - Weapon capable of firing 3 times of munitions [30. caliber round, non-lethal stun dart, and white phosphorus explosive shells].

Common name: The Order of The Knights of Saint Peter of Verona Side: Tech Composition: A solely human Christian organization, does not discriminate based on denomination Location: The Order HQ is aboard the S.S Archangel, once a church vessel, now has been refitted as to suit the needs of a knightly order’s inquisition. A few other such vessels have been retrofitted as Order ships, but by far the Archangel is the largest. Description: Upon returning to Earth only a few months prior, and the discovery of those unholy magic wielding heretics, the remaining Christian denominations of humanity took it as their duty to reclaim what was entowed to them by their creator. Founded by Pastor Francis J Carmichael III, now serves the Order’s Grandmaster, and a group of Christian ex-military soldiers, the Order was born out of what was seen by the most radicalized Christian groups as a necessity. The Order operates as a paramilitary organization, utilizing the training of its members as a knowledge base of military expertise. It recently has launched a PR campaign to encourage more drastic steps be taken by Tech factions in order to reclaim what is theirs. The Order has sought to radicalize other Christian groups and garner more support throughout the Tech. With not so many Christian polticians holding much power to begin with, gaining popular general support has been difficult and if the Order does wish to ever achieve its goal of Grand Inquisition it will have a lot less to do with military strenght and much more to do with good politicking. Goals: The Order of The Knights of Saint Peter of Verona merely wish for the return of Earth to its natural state, and the ceasing of all magic use. Magic users must either cease to use magic, or be eliminate. They believe magical and non-human beings are unholy abominations and the Earth was given to man and man alone. The Order does not believe all humans must accept the existence of one true God or his son Jesus Christ, but they do require humanity to remain pure and free from the chains of Magic and its temptations.
