Eh, the team up thing was more just me thinking it would be cool to have a team of superheroes who all look like monsters, really. XD I dunno, always been a fan of the whole "it's what inside that counts" kind of thing for some reason, which admittedly is why Malcolm is partially based on good old Ben Grimm.
