In which naught stirs but walking corpses.
NECHRONICA: THE LONG, LONG SEQUEL

The Epilogue of Mankind
--- The world as you know it is long since dead. Not a single living thing still walks, creeps or crawls upon the surface of the Earth. That is not to say that the dead Earth is a peaceful place. The living dead, horrors and monstrosities of all shapes and sizes, roam the world, raised by mysterious Necromancers to meet their enigmatic whims. However, there come times when even Necromancers wish to harken back to simpler times; the pure innocence of childhood. Thus, Dolls are made. Dolls are unique from their undead brethren in that in this dead world, they alone have hearts. Despite their fragile, childlike appearances, their pure hearts are what set them apart. And like any hearts, they may be broken. Though the Dolls' bodies, mere flesh and bone and metal, may be torn apart and built back up, only the Dolls' Sisters keep protect her heart from the cruelties of this dead world. It is only when a Doll's heart succumbs that she is truly Broken. --- Nechronica is a Japanese TRPG, created by the same company that produced Maid RPG (for those that know it.) I plan on essentially running a no-crunch campaign of Nechronica in the Advanced section, following the themes and aesthetics of the game. For this I will need a group of four or five dedicated players, who are willing to put character interaction and development first, as therein lies the true heart and soul of the game. Nechronica is a game of bonding with others, and relying on them when the last vestiges of hope seem lost. Keeping fragments of memories and dreams alive in despair, and not crushing them in your twitching, undead fingers. That said, this is primarily a horror campaign. Players should have an affinity toward either body horror or lolita themes/aesthetics (both if possible) to produce a character that fits in with the setting. Think Phyrexia from Magic the Gathering, if that helps. I have a plot in mind, definitely, but much of the story is player-driven as the Dolls (the player characters, if you've not yet realized) try to reclaim their memories of being alive. Anyway, here is the link to what's translated of the rulebook, if you want more information on the game itself before you're interested. Direct all interest, questions, comments and et cetera towards me, and I'll be more than happy to answer.
