It is... And so is the Witcher 2 which I would highly recommend playing first.

The Witcher series are really great, although the original hasnt aged well. If you start with 2 then you will get a decent introduction in the story and you will experience one of the best RPGs... [b]EVER![/b] Almost every dialogue you make has an impact on the game and not in the Bioware way where the impact is either option A or B and some fancy shiny stuff. The differences are really big.

Although the Witcher 2 does not have an open world, it's more like the Fable games in that respect, it's still a really good game. The Witcher 3 [b]will[/b] be an open world game and it will be massive!
