A thing with vampires: the convention that I wanted to trash was that they're in any way attractive. I was going to have it so that only by consuming more flesh and blood and life they'd get more power and look "nicer", so the ones that actually look human or pleasant are recognizable as having done some seriously disturbing stuff.
