She was chatting happily with her friends as they walked to Jessica's house. Amanda made sure to text Ayaka that if he needed her, she would be at Jessica's until Sunday afternoon. 

"So how are things with Ayaka?" Jessica asked, a little curious.

"Just fine. Nothing new, really." Amanda smiled. "Is your mom bringing cheesecake tonight?"

"After begging her for a month,  yes. I can say with confidence that she is."

"Yay!" Amanda and their other friend, Jasmine cheered.

"It's gonna be delicious!"
