[@duskshine749]: You can't make anything solid out of darkness. There's certainly offensive spells that just about anyone can use dealing with a variety of methods, just as there are defensive ones and barrier spells and other things of that nature. These are often tweaked to work various affinities.

The swords don't really make sense as they're hard to conceal and don't have an explanation.
