Well here you go then. Iffy as hell, but one mustn't shy away from trying simply because of that. Name: Sigori Age: 23 Race: Human, mostly... Nationality: None, his parents were from Vindrell though. Role: Brawler Font: Resonant Devourer: An oddity amongst the spirit’s blessings, the most noticeable effects of Sigori’s Font are passive and allow for him to consume the material as a source of nourishment. While he can eat normally, as one might expect, it takes a large amount to satiate his hunger. His diet of Resonant has granted him a body that isn’t as frail or weak as it looks, but the massive intake of energy can also leave him crippled if his diet is compromised. Thankfully, Resonant is common enough that this isn’t too often a problem and he can actually sense the material’s presence through smell and hearing. His Font’s more active effects are two fold. Ingesting sufficient amounts of Resonant allows for him to store the excess energy and release it at will, allowing his body to function as a conduit that molds the energy. Secondly, if access to Resonant in its gem form is not possible, Sigori is capable of releasing a pulse that turns any nearby gem’s into a gaseous state that he then absorbs. The ability is indiscriminate however and can cause catastrophic results if used in the wrong place as technologies are robbed of their fuel source. The backlash on Sigori is also rather dangerous as he basically enters a trance where spirits are free to access his mind and is unable to close it until he is satiated. Generally it activates instinctively when he’s so starved that he cannot control it. Color: Lime Weapon: Given his “primitive” upbringing and heightened physical prowess, Sigori has never used any weapons given the materials he can find generally don’t last very long in his hands. With the proper mix of Resonant, Sigori has gone head to head with some of Chroma’s deadliest predators and lived to fight another day. Personality: Cautiously optimistic for someone that hasn’t seen much humanoid contact, Sigori is quite willing to spend time close to others. However, he does so with a watchful eye and the process of actually befriending others can be slow. His reactions can be somewhat alien though given little things seem to anger him aside from physical harm. Most things seem to only annoy him at most and are quickly forgiven, but retaliation in anger from Sigori is often quite swift and unforgiving. Likewise in combat, unless otherwise told, Sigori's as ruthless as the wildernesses he grew up in; he won't hesitate to do anything that helps get the kill. While not unintelligent, Sigori’s desires can are rather simple and his knowledge of the world extremely limited. His reactions are much like his interactions with others though, described as careful curiosity rather than a fear for the unknown. It can be quite easy to sit him down and lose him in the intricate workings of technology and other aspects of the world. Background: Pretty much ordinary until he was a few years old when his Font became more active. His family couldn’t sate his expanded hunger at that moment, not even knowing of it, and when starved his Font’s active ability activated. All Resonant within dozens of meters at the time was transmuted to colored wisps which drifted towards their child. Chaos ensued momentarily and with Sigori at the center of it all, the young child was pushed from the community in fear. His Font was both the reason for his exile and continued survival afterwards. Had it been any other child with any other Font it would be unlikely for them to survive by themselves, but the spirit’s blessing allowed Sigori to uncover the Resonant in the environment around him. The first surge of energy bolstered his barely developed body enough that it could survive the harsh mountainous terrains of Vindrell. Yet despite surviving for the next few years it would have been hard to call Sigori human. Instinct and the will to survive is what drove him to leave the inhospitable lands he was born in and journey down into the more survivable forests of Barallia with only the barest memories of a childhood. It was here that he had his first friendly contact with others in years. Found by a patrolling pack, it was out of pity and kindness that Sigori wasn’t slain despite putting up a decent challenge for the dozen Ferens. At that point in time he didn’t quite know restraint yet, simply gorging himself on whatever Resonant he could find and was thus almost always surging with energy. They saw him as an abandoned child, almost fallen like their feral brethren, and sought to bring him back from the brink. While successful at injecting a bit of culture and society into the young boy, the pack never really tried to force Sigori to stay within their ranks afterwards. After being declared stable enough that he wouldn’t become a threat in the future he was free to leave as he pleased. While he does manage to track down the pack occasionally, Sigori spends most of his time within the forests by himself. It was on one such visit that he allowed himself to be “dragged” towards Echo, given his status as a Fonted was pretty much undeniable. The Lost had been fairly commonplace in his life for the last few years given his status as a living store of Resonant, and he’d developed an immense dislike for the beings.
