"Pain is good," Parry said, gripping Rikive and looking over the wound. Superficial. A scratch. But a scratch tinged with venom. "Pain means it didn't lay eggs in your bloodstream that'll hatch and eat their way out from the inside." Nasty way to go, Arachnus demon. Fortunately Parry could hear sirens getting closer. The ambulance for the kid in the shop were getting closer. The human doctors wouldn't be able to do anything for the venom, but there were a few other avenues they could pursue at the hospital- if they went to the right hospital in the first place. Either way, it wouldn't be a pleasant experience for Rikive if they didn't get her some help soon. "C'mon Riki," Parry said, sheathing his own sword in the diaper bag before replacing Winterthorn as well. While Rikive could still walk, Parry didn't want to encourage the spread of the venom through excessive movement on Rikive's part. So after hooking his diaper bag securely around his shoulder, PArry lifted Rikive in a Fireman's hold and ushered her around the back of the building. Three ambulances had answered the calls for the human boy and as a gurney was rushed in to the store, the other two vehicles started to back away. The driver on the smaller vehicle noticed Parry coming toward him with a blonde-haired woman in his arms and stopped to roll down the window. "Hey! Hey, I got a snake bite!" He yelled through the window. "It's, uh, African Rattleback. Some kid must've got it from exotic pet store or something. She got bit on the arm. I need transport to West General." Thankfully the EMTs didn't argue the point (probably out of fear of a lawsuit if they called Bullshit and were wrong) so they popped open the back doors and got Rikive fitted onto the gurney. One of the techs started to clean her cut and inject anti-venom (pretty useless but not harmful in this case) while Parry took a seat inside and whipped out his phone. [i]Lizzy. Coming your way.
