"We need to begin making preparations, if we are to stand any chance."[@Consentacles] "I guess, for the time being," said Sinestro, "We'll hold off on killing you. After all, it will be better for us if you die fighting Darkseid." He looked at the others, who were nodding their heads 'yes', all of them except Bizzaro, who was shaking his head no. "We'll go prepare for the invasion. I suppose we should arrange a neutral meeting point, though, in case we need to coordinate our efforts. Any suggestions?" "Here." said Deathstroke, stepping forward and displaying a set of coordinates in international waters on a tablet. "I recently bought an old oil rig as an investment property. I'll volunteer it as a meeting place. Besides, I'm probably the closest thing to a neutral party here, with Luthor canceling the bounties as soon as he hears about the "message from the future"." "I'd rather use the UN building, as we'll need their support anyway if we are to win, but for now it's good enough." said Superman as he landed in front of the groups. "I'll head there and arrange to speak with them." "We'll contact you if we need to meet." said Deathstroke, and started to walk away. With both sides splitting up to make preparations, the various future heroes and villains split up as well, going with the group they thought would listen to them the most. "By the way," said Superman, "Any idea who that woman was that hit me?"

John met with the other Lantern to discuss possible defenses. The future GL had several ideas on how to use hard-light projectors to protect various cities. He also wanted to place a net of satellites around the planet to shoot down enemy ships. You'd think with the Thanagarian invasion that would have already occurred, but no one had yet launched any such satellites, as no country wanted their enemies to have more space-based firepower than them.

Oliver met with the Arrows, Green and Red. "I take it with the name Oliver..." the Green one started. "He's mine," finished Red. "Though I wasn't ready for anyone to know about him, yet." "Your's?" asked Green. "Who's his mother, then?" Red shook his head. "She's not a League member, so I don't want to say." Green nodded. "Fair enough." He looked at Crimson's equipment. "So, that's a nice bow. Mind if I try it?" "Sure," he said, "two hundred kilo draw isn't too much for you, is it?" The arrows stared at each other for a few seconds. "So," said Green, "maybe I ought to know your powers?"

"I'm heading off with them." said Lionel. "I'll contact you guys if we need any help." He took off and caught up with the other flying members of the Legion. The flight back gave him a chance to think. Without the stress of the journey back in time, and with the urgency of the situation now overshadowing that stress, he came to a realization. If the Earth isn't sterilized, his father might not have a reason to make him. Even if he did, he'd probably make Lionel differently. I'll have to insure against that, he thought, followed by another realization. With Darkseid invading the Earth, that would make it the perfect opportunity for someone to seize quiet a bit of power and glory for themselves. While he was certain his father would also realize this, he was smarter than his father and had future knowledge. Yes, this new world was going to turn out quite well for him.
