Adam scoffed at the witches words. To ignore a witches past was foolish and weak. A coven gladly accepting a witch that betrayed her coven twice was just asking for trouble. “You really are foolish! You are going to welcome a witch that betrayed her coven?” Adam asked with annoyance. A smirked appeared on his face when she pulled her hair from his grasp. “Well, if you are offering your services, milady.” He allowed his eyes to roam over her body as if to appraise her. “Then I guess you will to do for the night.” Adam was unimpressed with the little witch’s display of magic, and it did not slow him down in the least. During his years upon years of training, Adam had been taught to deal with every situation and to keep his cool. Over the years his clan had made him fight in every kind of circumstance they could put him in, and Adam has bested every witch and warlock in his coven, so he has become used to any kind of situation he could be put in. Truly, Adam did not feel like touching her skin again as he moved away and pulled darkness as cover. His hand still stung from the connection, and the sensation was starting to travel up his arm. And this new darkness was still slightly confusing. No one in his coven owned a third power other than Elena. He just became more powerful and useful to his coven. Maybe this new power would be a good thing. Now he just had to learn how to control it. This caused a smile to pull at his mouth. Then he saw a light in the darkness he created. Instinctively, he took a step towards the light only to realize it was coming from the witch’s fingers. All of a sudden, the darkness was gone and replaced with a blinding light that stung his eyes. Adam dropped to one knee and covered his eyes from the light with his arm and ducked his head. The witch taunted him about not being able to see and he lifted his head to snarl at her. Without thinking about it, he pulled the darkness from within himself and sent it out in a rush trying to reclaim the darkness he had once created. But when the darkness hit the light, it exploded. Adam flew backwards from the blast and slammed into a brick wall across the street. When he finally came too, his ears rang and his head felt fuzzy. Gently he reached up and touched the left side of his head then brought his bloody fingers back in front of his face. He groaned and leaned his head back against the wall as his vision started to black out once again.
