Nothing wrong with engineers. Or tools, for that matter. I only bring it up to point out, you know, there's however-many thousands of people in the Army [i]actively trying to kill for that job.[/i] So don't expect to breeze in. You should really have multiple backup plans that you'd be happy doing for your whole military career.
