Takeshi knew he had gone and screwed up just now and he was damn determined to try and make it better. Of course, making it better may involve doing something he otherwise would have no business doing, but if that's what it took to reassure his friend than so be it. Mentally preparing himself for what he was about to subject himself to the Saiyan sighed once before stepping in and giving T'charrl a hug, making it last a few seconds to try and make it genuine; he didn't have a problem with T'charrl himself, he wanted that to be abundantly clear, it was just the hair that got him sometimes. When he'd had just about all he could Takeshi finally stepped back, smiling nervously as he resisted the urge to pat himself down. "You say that like it was some k-kind of torture," he answered, chuckling as he shrugged, "I'm fine, honest!" Except it felt like his skin was crawling, probably from being poked by all the hairs. At the mention of dust he couldn't help but look down at himself, blinking seeing all the sparkly flecks covering his clothes and arms. Chuckling again he looked back up at T'charrl, his face reddening some as he shook his head, "No problem, really! So h-how's about we go play, huh?" "Normal humans wouldn't have those ears that she does, nor the abilities that she possesses. And neither Yumi nor Viral are monsters, I would be very careful how you speak about them around me," Vegeta warned, for the first time today sounding a bit threatening, "Their conditions don't make them monsters, they're a product of a madman's tampering, that's it. We'll get them back to normal, that's all there is to it." Leaving it at that he took his seat at the table, beginning to dig in after having portioned out the food. His stomach grumbled even as he began to dig in, quite clearly starved after the long day they had. After a brief spell of silence Kiton finally spoke up again, Vegeta simply glancing over out of the corner of his eye before nodding and continuing to eat. "Glad you like it, though it's hardly anything special. I was just too lazy to cook a real meal is all." Simple but quick, and it didn't hurt that it tasted good either. They really ought to have a more substantial meal than this, but when the Frost Demon had to gradually work on eating again they couldn't be too hasty. Aito knew Viral didn't want to be doing this, but then that was normal; people wanted help, but rarely did they go to a therapist because they wanted to hear what was wrong. He could sit here and tell Viral just that, prescribe all sorts of medicines and let the problem work itself out, or he could take the direct approach and handle it himself. As of this very moment the Beastman most certainly did not appreciate the help, but when he was healthy again he'd look back at it favorably, he hoped. "Memory problems, hm...? Interesting... There's several reasons that might be an issue. Could be a blow to the head, or perhaps a bad reaction to medicine. I'll run a neurological test with you later on and we can figure that out, restoring your memory should be simple enough." As it was it would be just a case of healing whatever might be injured in the brain, or removing the toxins or chemicals from medicines that was causing the issue. It wouldn't take much time, an hour at most and then Viral should be back to full capacity, memory wise at least. "Please, pray tell, what would I gain by lying to you about that? I'm not trying to butter you up here Viral, I'm trying to tell you that you were and will be a very strong fighter. And confinement...? What exactly do you mean?" He hadn't heard anything concerning confinement, not in the case of the Saiyans or otherwise. Depending on the conditions of said treatment it could explain some of the problems too, which may shed even further light on the problems at hand. Hoping for a bit more information he looked to Yumi for help here, smiling as he raised an eyebrow, "I don't suppose you know about this, young lady?" Yumi smiled back at Aito uncertainly for a moment, not sure if she was really qualified to be talking about things like this. "I mean... I know the gist of what happened, sure, but I can't really say for certain what it was. From what I remember though Viral was put into a kind of sleep in a cryogenic tube, and he was there for a while. The doctors kept him healthy with IVs and things like that, but he was in there for a couple of years I think." Yeah, because she and Vegeta had been little kids when he was put away, and it wasn't until they were almost teenagers that Viral was brought back out. What did any of that have to do with his current condition though? That was years ago, over a decade in fact, how could it relate to now? "I see... Cryogenic slumber..." Aito mused, frowning as he rubbed at his chin. "There's a distinct possibility that your problems began there Viral. If proper precautions aren't made then the body will suffer damage from being put in stasis; tissue may deteriorate, as will muscle, functions may become impaired if the brain suffers any damage too. Plus if you were fed through IVs it is possible that something may have gotten into the solutions, something to promote further damage. It's speculation, but it would explain some of your conditions. That and the rate at which you've declined is much too astounding to be over just the last year, even with the tampering. I think some pre-existing conditions already were causing issue, and what was done recently just opened the floodgates, so to speak." It was probably an awful lot to take in, none of it good, but it was more light on this situation of theirs. "I'll get every bit of information I can regarding your treatment prior from Vegeta and we can work from there." [hr] An awful lot of information had been gleaned from that brief session, and on top of what Vegeta had for him Aito had a very clear idea of where they stood now. A series of poor treatments and experimentation had led to a degeneration of Viral's normally exceptional ability to recover, and in turn his cells being able to reproduce at astounding rates. That would explain the weakening of his regular self as well as the memory issue, as brain tissue was likely lost during the initial sedation and while in stasis. But what of the transformation issues? Aito was certain he had that explained too, and it was far easier to put into words than the memory and muscle problems; Viral was a conglomerate of different creatures, their genes melded with his own to grant him unique abilities. With each gene came some aspect of the animal, and those aspects could bleed through when certain genes were triggered. Viral had the capability and the knowledge of how to trigger each, at least previously, but now he seemed to have lost that. Aito's assumption in regards to that was a hormonal imbalance coupled with the memory loss, meaning that he couldn't properly balance the different aspects and he had actually forgotten how to. The hormonal imbalance would also explain the aggression and the anxiety, as too many chemicals in the brain would cause it to fire off in erratic ways. It was a wide array of problems, but knowing what they were now made it easy to handle. "And that's where we stand. I've got every one of your treatment plans mapped out already and I'm in the process of getting the materials together. I know it must seem like a lot, but the reality of it is your conditions are quite easy to treat. It will be a lengthy process, but you'll begin to see results within the first week." Memory should improve first and foremost, followed hopefully by his hormonal imbalance. Getting the genes to cooperate was going to be a combination of reconditioning, waiting for his body to settle down and likely a little bit of gene therapy to boot. "Of course... To even begin with any of that you need to be comfortable to be in a medical room again, otherwise I can't administer anything. So tell me... What exactly is it about the room that gets you so unnerved?"
