Anyway, I think we should make a map, and the trench is an excellent idea. Maybe Atlantis could be located in a portion of the territory that is forbidden to go to for it's dangers. The leviathan could be guarding the city and attack anyone who darks to enter the dangerous waters, but say if some one managed to get the relic(unsure what) than they could use it to command the beast to help them. 

And I think we should put our nods together to come up with a list of mer-creatures people can be.
