Cid is a pretty amazing guy, having accomplished feats of engineering such as the castle's semi-magic structure. He's around age 40 now so that short blond hair is getting salt and pepper. Yet even at this age he looks the part of a tough man with a body that supports melee combat despite his position as Head Wizard of Navire. He being one of few with access to a Magicite stone has spent his time researching various properties of Magicite. From this research we've gotten our Paladins, Summoners, and Sky Wizards. 

His chosen weapon is a long spear with about 10 grams of Magicite inside the spear head, allowing him to channel magic while also empowering his spells. His combat style has been the a hybrid of Dragoon tactics and Sky Wizard spells, making for a tough opponent at all ranges. One would have to say that his weakness is age, getting old has its consequences. So most of the time he spends his hours of the day researching, designing, and experimenting with just about everything.

He has seven children. 4 are girls and 3 are boys (keep that in mind) with the youngest child at age 15 years old. He has an estate near the castle as well as the only magic password to the mysterious corridors of the Castle. Like everyone in Navire Cid lives a simpler life compared to other kingdoms, not even the king lives in the castle. Owning a telescope is considered high class if that helps you set the frame.

The Highwind family comes from another Kingdom but Cid the first was born in Navire making him a citizen of the kingdom. The family has played a significant part in the kingdom's recent history going as far as Cid the first's creation of the early Magicite Generator. Cid II has been working on improving that design to make it widespread across the kingdom but so far it's been a unique machine. 

One can't easily say Cid II is a family man because he's mostly involved with work now a days but on holidays he'll promise to spend time with his family, which is perhaps 10 days out of the year. Workaholic is a understatement for Cid II. 

His most unique machine right now is the Highwind Warbird that's being constructed from mostly wooden materials to keep it light. Perpetual Float spells are in research and it seems that Magicite Generator is capable of producing the effect, but getting it off the ground is a problem since it takes the space of a house. Research indicates that the castle would sooner float in the sky than the Highwind would have the Magicite Generator.
