Name: Pearl Rameses Codename: Pulsecat City of Operation: Cleveland Appearance: Innocent features cross Pearl's face, and long, dark brown hair flows in straight lines down her back. Her blue eyes add depth into her face, just as her small, trimmed eyebrows and her small lips do. Her slim figure and small breasts fit perfect inside of a dress, and her arms and legs have been called sexy by several men (whom she now keeps away from). Age: 25 Gender: Female Superpowers: Pulse: This is Pearl's standard attack. She can fire a pulse of energy from her pulse-cannon that is pretty much a solid pulse of light hitting the target. This may knock the target over, or generally just cause an amount of pain similar to that of a lesser caliber bullet hitting you. Pulse-Overcharge: Substandard, this attack is essentially an overcharged pulse. This, depending on how overcharged it is, has the power to knock over the equivalent of a large SUV or tilt a truck onto few tires. Against a target, this has the power similar to two fifty-caliber bullets, over more if overcharged even more. Overflux: Pearl can overload her jet pack in order to propel her at very fast speeds toward her intended destination, let that be a target so she can ram it or a far away place she needs to get to fast. Essence-Warp: By reshaping the transmitter of her pulse-cannon, Pearl is able to make the energy pulse into the shape of a blade with a sharpened edge. She can either launch this at a target, able to impale a target for penetration effects or she is able to hold the pulse in that shape and use it as a melee weapon, a blade emitted from her cannon. Skills/ Talents: Pearl is a genius in electronic, coding and physic sciences, and is able to improve and adapt what she has. This was especially useful when building her Xeaforge armour. Equipment: Xeaforge Armour Mark V: The Xeaforge armour, named Xea armour for short, is the armour that Pearl wears on most occasions. The armour has modular systems to connect to it's power source, jetpack and pulse cannon. The armour gives Pearl a miniscule amount of additional strength, and the armour itself is strong enough to take a direct rocket impact, absorbing the damage for the user. However, this will of course cause massive damage to the armour's exterior integrity. It is also waterproof. Jetpack: The jetpack can either fly for long distances or release a short burst of power to help propel the user over tiny distances, say to avoid an incoming missile. Xeaforge pulse-cannon: The Xeaforge pulse-cannon was a breakthrough in Xeaforge Industries. It was only made once, by a pure mistake which has not been able to be recreated. The pulse-cannon was implemented into Pearl's suit at her parents' command, to better aid her rather than her original arsenal of weapons that burdened her. ANAI: ANAI (Advanced Neural Assistance Intelligence) is an artificial intelligence integrated primarily with the Xeaforge armour however it also has grown as an attachment to Pearl herself. ANAI offers support in the way of notifications and analysations to Pearl. However, ANAI lacks a true personality, though it works in secret to try and develop one. Weaknesses: General character: Pearl has a tendency to underestimate her enemies, and she can be easily swayed in the way of payment. Offer her money, and she will oblige to the highest bidder. Sometimes it doesn't even need to be money, it can be the likes of technology of which Xeaforge Industries can adapt and use for their own purposes. Pearl will also go to criminals if they wish to buy products, unless she already dislikes them. She gets easily convinced. Xeaforge armour is mainly electronic. Xeaforge Industries realized this early into the project, and they worked to make the suit EMP-Proof. They partially succeeded, making the suit effected by only high-power EMPs, whereas lower-power ones are warded off by electronic cutouts over the armour. Even then, a higher power EMP will not fry the most vital parts of the armour, such as ANAI's interface or the system needed to reboot the suit if this happens. If, somehow, a part of the suit suffers damage from the EMP, it would have to be repaired. Power overload: A power overload will either disable the suit temperarily or disable the pulse cannon in order to vent heat from the suit. Attacks: (Pulse is standard, without weakness) Pulse-Overcharge: The more this is powered up, the higher the risk of a power-overload. Overflux: This costs a lot of power, a massive risk in case power-overload protocols are triggered. There is also the risk of accidentally ramming a solid object. Essence-Warp: When this is used, it drains a lot of power from the suit. The power is drained more the longer the blade is held, and due to the unusual shaping, there may be (repairable) damages if the suit was to incorrectly shape the attack. Psyche: Pearl, as the daughter of the founders and rulers of Xeaforge Industries, has been taught to see everyone as a possible buyer for products. Against those teachings, Pearl sees everyone as a friend, even criminals. Criminals may, after all, wish to buy things (if they can afford them), and Xeaforge has hidden strategies in order to avoid breaking the law. Pearl makes sure to talk about the latest of Xeaforge Industry products, however she will often hide specifics in case someone tries to duplicate their products. History: Pearl was the daughter of the founders of Xeoforge Industries, a company designing the latest of technology from computers to weapon systems. Of course, Pearl was taught the ways of the business and was highly respected within it from an early age. She got to see and use all of the latest systems, and she sometimes even helped develop them. She was quite fond of the Xeaforge armour, and helped develop the Mark three and Mark four variants as her main focus, even helping to test the armour systems. The White Rain didn't affect her, nor did it affect Xeaforge Industries. One day, there was an attack on Xeaforge Industries. Attacks were uncommon, but nowhere close to rare. Pearl was testing a set of Mark Four armour when it happened, and she accompanied security to the location of the attack - one of the chemical testing labs - as it was near her location. Upon entering the room, a trio of criminals fled through a destroyed window, leaving a grenade in their wake. The grenade killed one guard, leaving few others injured and those still outside of the room - obviously - untouched, including Pearl. The reaction of the grenade with chemicals in the room had generated something very unusual, like a glassy blue cylinder, like smooth glass which coned at one end. Containment teams secured it, and spend weeks trying to figure out what it was. Test after test happened, and the crystal was still identified as coloured glass. Eventually, by accident, something happened. A scientist dropped a small but heavy weight on it as it was being transferred to the lab (the scientist was soon fired). The cylinder emited a burst of energy from the flat face. Another month passed. They duplicated the firing event on several occasions, and then figured with else to use on it they would try implementing it into a suit. They did it, making a specialized suit. The Mark Five Xeaforge armour was exclusive and given only to Pearl, along with ANAI. With this, she began to show people what Xeaforge Industries could really do and make, which raised up the buyers by 5% (though most didn't have the money for Xeaforge products).
