Name: Impara ‘Imp’ Fuerza Race: Human Gender: Female Age: 21 Nationality: Vale Appearance: Her nickname does not come from nowhere. The woman is tiny at 152 centimeters, which looks downright ridiculous when she angrily confronts a guy two heads taller than herself. She is quite fit with 62 kilos of weight, able to buff up without losing agility due to her semblance. She has deep brown eyes and hispanic complexion topped with shoulder length raven hair. Due to all the brawling, her body picked up a few marks in the form of a scar here and there, but above all else all the ink Impara put into her arms. Her left arm is wrapped in a tattoo of a red eastern style dragon while her right is covered in tribal marks. One of the things that puts the fear of god into her is the scar on her belly as Appendicitis was something she could not fight with her arms. Lastly, her back has her name done in flames. Impara’s battledress looks as a mix between clothes and armor. She wears comfortable black pants, not too tight to restrict her movement and yet not too baggy to get caught on things. Her torso is covered by an equally colored leather jacket. Both of these articles are covered with modern looking metal guards, specifically on the knees, shoulders and forearms. The jacket has two leather belts going around the torso that can be used to stow extra equipment. Lastly, she uses fingerless gloves and standard combat boots. Outside of combat and the school uniform, Impara wears cargo pants and a tank top, keen on showing her tattooed arms. History: Impara was born into the relatively average Fuerza family living in one of the smaller satellite villages of Vale. As a mixed family of a coral snake faunus and a human mother, she had to put up with racist slurs at her father’s address on a daily basis ever since kindergarten. She managed to bear with it for a year, but when she was four, she finally snapped and beat up one boy that made a comment, who ended up with a broken nose. She spent her days mostly alone since then as many of the children were afraid of her. The girl had the only company in a fellow deer faunus named Adrian, who over the next year become her childhood love. To her unending fury, he first gave her the nickname ‘imp’ when everyone else grown taller than her by the time they were five. Just as she was about to go to the school for the first time, the first of the more fierce Grimm attacks struck the village. The Fuerza family family and Adrian were killed in the attack. The girl’s semblance activated with the intense emotions and she fought her way to safety of the relieve troops in a fit of wild rage. She was sent to an orphanage in the main city of Vale, but spent her days alone as other children either did not want to have anything to do with a half-faunus, or were afraid of her. When she reached the age of ten, she was adopted by a wealthy family. While initially believing herself to be lucky, she quickly found out her adoptive ‘father’ only wanted her as a poster child to improve PR with the faunus protesters. While she’s given anything money could buy, they didn’t give her the loving family she wanted the most. Her two step sisters ignored and hated her respectively. But later, she formed a love-hate relationship with the younger sister, sharing an interest in fighting and being grateful for the sister at least being honest about hating what she is. At the age of twelve, Impara started attending one of the local combat schools as a sort of therapy for the rage she bottled in her over the time. She was mad at her ‘family’ for not being there for her, angry at the xenophobic humans, and raging against the grimm for ruining her real family and life. A few years later, her skill with the blade grown very good, and she was given some media attention to the happiness of her father after winning several combat competitions. However, her story was soon brought to light, making people start withdrawing from her again. She turned to homeschooling and made an uneasy alliance with her younger step sister, who also grew tired of her parents’ behavior towards them. After two years of working for the family company to fund her plan, she set off to attend Beacon, severing all ties with her adoptive ‘family’ and intending to start again, on her own. She succeeded at being accepted after orchestrating the defeat a manticore on her own during the initiation. Being named the leader of team IVORy along with Violet Rehn, Olivier Armstrong and Rudy Ivanov, her studies left something to be desired by the faculty. She excelled at classes that had even remotely anything to do with fighting, but barely passed any other. She also got into trouble several times by defending others from bullies, albeit it made the faunus and nerds look up to her. Personality: Imp is not a pleasant fellow to be around unless you were around for a long time. The woman is almost always annoyed at something and looking to pick up a fight, be it an annoying freshman or the morning sun. She has an extremely short fuse and if you anger her, you will get hit. Even on a good day, the closest thing to a thank you you will get from her is her expressing mild annoyance at some bit of your clothing. Those who stuck with her for longer time know of this though and can translate her behavior. She might not express it, but Impara cares for those close to her deeply, because she already lost too many like that. Despite portraying herself as a charging juggernaut of explosive energy, she does battle demons of her past and can be fragile on the inside. After she is done yelling at you for making a comment on her height, she is likely to hide and cry for a while where no one can see her if she had a bad day. Skills: Imp dedicated her life to fighting back and fighting anybody and everybody. Her combat skill is nothing short of impressive, albeit quite heavily oriented on the attack. Impara’s defense relies on her dodging the blows and saying in cover. On the offense she makes her anger and semblance to work for her, quite literally dancing and weaving around her enemies while she cuts them down with her sword. In the case of getting caught in the open, she would switch to her sidearm. Outside of fight however is a different story. For her age, she is quite simply dumb as a log as far as trivia goes. Dates and math are not her friends in most regards, and unless you want to give yourself gastric ulcers, keep her away from the kitchen. Powers: Her aura is a balance between volume and efficiency. Her stamina is below average, which comes from the usual lack of need and thus training. If put against overwhelming odds, Imp has to rely on getting the heck out rather than her aura blocking and healing the damage. Impara’s semblance is Stability, which allows her to do several things. Above all else, it makes her athletic abilities very impressive. She is able to perform flips, leaps and dodges to the peak of natural human abilities. It is also almost impossible to knock her down as she can recover from almost any fall and turn it into a move. This also improves her accuracy, especially with melee weapons. Equipment: The woman’s weapon of choice is an urumi - a sword made out of a thin sheet of metal that allows it to be rolled into a rather tight coil. She usually wears it around her waist where it is easily accessible with a single tug. It is not a weapon to be used when allies are around, as it’s potential for collateral damage is unmatched among melee weapons. It is only her semblance that allows her teammates to combat alongside her in relative safety. She has a classic dust pistol as a sidearm with a modified magazine. The cartridge is actually two joined by the bottom, one half loaded with explosive and the other with penetrating rounds. That way, switching her load is as easy as flipping the cartridge upside down. Impara does not wear any defensive gear save for her reinforced clothes and - if she expects some heavy fighting - a standard issue helmet. Coming from a wealthy family and working in the family company had one boon to it in the form of her income. Imp has been able to afford a car, which is a heavy duty off-road fourseater.
