Hate to get all lore-y on you and point out that Imperial Templars don't use lyrium and can't disrupt magic,[sup]1[/sup] but I don't think [@SimplyJohn]'s too bothered about limiting character's abilities because of lore. The only mention he made was to say no dwarf mages, but that doesn't really apply here at all, since Templar abilities aren't exactly magical. You might want to change his backstory a little to explain how he was exposed to lyrium while gathering it for a magister who thought his half-dwarf heritage would protect him from it, or some such reason. You could also add in that he specifically sought out an Andrastian Chantry Templar who taught him the magic disruption abilities for the sole purpose of killing Sulpicia's husband, in exchange for a share of lyrium smuggled out of Tevinter, just to keep things canon-y. :)

As vehemently as he denies taking part in any sort of politics, he is aware of The Grand Game of Orlais as Tevinter has something... similar. Just with more slaves and necromancy and abominations.

And blood magic, can't be forgetting that. :lol Overall you have a nicely rounded character, with a few rough edges to polish off but nothing which would make him unusable. :) [sub]1 - Mentioned in Cullen's report after completing War Table mission The Tevinter Resistance.[/sub]
