[@Sep] Maybe, maybe not. After all, the natural enemy of a given sith is always another sith.
Not so much when you see this sith. On that note I may as well post him here.
Name: Lorn Rosk Species: Houk Age: 29 Gender: Male Faction: Sith Empire Rank:Apprentice - Beastmaster Notable Race Traits: One of the largest sentient species, their brute strength can only be rivaled by other gargantuan species such as the Wookies, Thick Skull, Giant stature (He himself is 2.5 metres tall) Flaws: His size means he isn't exactly nimble. Quick to anger, anger means physical altercations. Force abilities are severely limited. Spent very little time within the actual Sith Academy. Always a bit of an Outcast within the Sith ranks, as his species by most is seen little more than beasts and he hasn’t earned the distinction yet to change this view. Skills: Understands animals and their behaviour enough to train them, without needing to constantly cause them pain. Well versed in xenobiology, he spent a lot of his time before becoming a Sith training as a Xenobiologist. Trained in using an Electrostaff and a lightsaber (Despite his moves being limited due to his size and bodies capabilities) Like many of his species, he can (surprisingly) be quite sneaky when he wants to be. Hunter/Tracker: Not as well versed as someone who has specialized it howe Lightsaber combat is restricted to proficiency in Form V Force capabilities: -Basics. -Animal Friendship. -Crucitorn : Through mental training he already has a high pain threshold, however even he sometimes needs to use the Force to increase that. Biography: Lorn had an unassuming childhood, or as much of one as could be had during wartime. He always liked working with animals, while his temperament was typically as rash and “I want it so I’ll take it” to the point of being identical to the rest of his species he found an odd sense of calm around animals. An understanding, from this age he always wanted to go out into the stars and study all the animals he could find. To understand them, and in a way care for them and train them. Though this changed as the Sith Empire attacked the colony he was living on and after a short battle, due to the poor Republic Defenses in the outer rim, the planet was in the hands of the Empire. Eighteen at the time had already begun his studies in Xenobiology, however that was derailed when the Sith began looking for beings who had the capability to access the Force and he was one of the five from his planet chosen. However due to the species not fitting into the Sith who captured the planets perfect view each of the five chosen was given a task that the Lord felt was fitting for each of them. His task was to capture a several young. This task was both cruel and kind, he was only beginning his work so knew the basics but he had nowhere near the expertise to actually capture a wild Nexu, let alone a cub and get it away from it’s mother without being mauled to death. However the choice was made simple for him, do the task or his entire village would be destroyed. As such a team took him to Cholganna however from there he was left to track the beasts himself. To capture them he first captured many arboreal octupi. Then when finding the Nexu herd he released all of the Octupi he had captured in the path of the herd. There, he ran to the small pack left to defend the cubs. This was where it was difficult. Relying solely on brute strength he threw the first one that jumped on him into a nearby tree, knocking it out. The second one was faster and got a bite onto his side. Acting on pure instinct he wanted it to let go and it did. However the beast itself seemed confused, perplexed. It didn’t know why it let go, why it didn’t want to hunt him anymore. Without spending too much time thinking about it Lorn scooped up the Nexu cubs into a bag he had brought with him and broke into the best run he could muster. Somehow, thankfully, he made it back to the shuttle before the Nexu missed their cubs and from there it was a short ride home. Passing the test, he was sent to Korriban. With one of the cubs with him, and the Sith Lord pronounced that if he managed to keep the beast alive that Lorn would be given an important mission one day. That task proved difficult. First he had to train the Nexu, and while it quickly bonded to him so wouldn’t hurt him he had to teach it varying commands in order to not attack people. To get it to stay, go where he wanted it to go. Trying to stick to positive reinforcement rather than negative as this beast was his only friend. By others he was scorned, and picked on. Only his stature and brute strength saved him. All this time he continued in his study of beasts, and bordered it on to study other sentient species as well. Quite often he would venture to prison cells that held captives of many species. Simply examining them. Though that’s when the first problem arose. He returned to his own quarters, supposed to be shared however his tutors found it “unfair” that people had to share with him. The privacy suited him just fine. Several students broke in, he stood up already at 2.5m high he was far taller than all of them however that had an advantage in numbers and ability. The wild card was Roi, his Nexu. Using the Force he stirred her awake, keeping her calm he draw his own weapon and when they went in to attack he had her attack. Once it started he cut the connection to her letting her natural instincts take over so he could focus upon defending himself. Leaving each Sith alive, as it was against the rules to kill another and was indeed something that could get him killed he left the room. They would find their own way out. It turned out later that this was a test, and as they had not past it and in fact he did he was sent to a beastmaster. It was here he continued to hone his skills in xenobiology, and indeed finding new and interesting ways to torture beings. He spent the next five years here, prisoners came and went. It was during this time that he acquired a knack for torture. He saw sentient beings as the next step for him. He could train any manner of beasts, but to train a sentient being. That was different. Though of course as prisoners of war the metaphorical carrot(Or SW variation of a carrot) wouldn’t be so useful. So he decided to use the lightsaber. Good behaviour would give them nights of peaceful rest, or food or even a clean. However poor performance, poor shows. Would result in pain, sleepless nights, starvation and humiliation. Without realizing it his perception had been warped. Once sought to study various species he now sought to control them, without even realizing the Dark Side had taken him despite his hate for the Sith for ransacking his home world. It was during this time that the Sith Lord Artu Reen returned, the one who conquered his planet. He congratulated him on his advancement, and said he had a job for him as promised. Which is how he found his way, onto the supposedly infamous, Kaggath under the control of Darth Nyiss. Personality: Lorn isn’t exactly “Evil”. He was pushed into a life with the Sith without choice, well. He had a choice but if he had chose not to it would have had dire consequences. In a way, he hates the Sith and it is constantly with him that hint of resentment. Mainly as they put him down, class him as a second citizen. Barely better than the beasts he trains and looks after. Over time this expanded, it wasn’t just the Sith who felt they were better than others. That was who the Jedi were, what the Republic was. They claimed to stand for Freedom and justice but they only protected worlds that held significant value for them, or econimic value. At this point he started to see little connection with anything alive. He took an example out of an animals book. It became a kill or be killed universe. He was a second citizen and if he didn’t work his bit, try and improve himself. Keep himself going he would be left in the dust. This is the attitude he exhibits, but at the same time he has not become over ambitious. He will do what needs to be done, right now that is all that can be said. Though he is not as dark as many other Sith he is definitely on the path to become darker. The act oftorturing people came as natural progression, it seems to be the evolution of training animals. Training sentient species to do what he wants them too. It isn't that he enjoys their pain, just a means to the end. Player’s long term goals: Having fun. Relations: Roi: Companion, Nexu who has been with him since he was first threatened to become a Sith. Well trained though she is more than a companion. She is probably the closest thing he has ever had to a friend. Artru Reen: Sith Lord, who somehow, managed to get him to be Beastmaster aboard Darth Nyiss’ ship. Lorn has only met him in person three times, and never finds it an enjoyable experience. Sish: As a fellow Non Human/Non Sith seen as little more as a beast. Lorn is somewhat envious of Sish and how he has made a name for himself to be seen as more as a beast. Final Point - Secrets: If someone kills Roi, or even grievously harms her Lorn will likely be enraged to the point where either he will die or the person who caused that harm will. He also, wouldn’t typically be overly hard to manipulate. If it’s done correctly...
