Whether we go to Starkhaven will be something the characters will be debating at the beginning of the story. Basically we'll be sitting around a campfire on the outskirts of Cumberland discussing the rumours and leads we've gathered and trying to decide where we should go next. It should give everyone the opportunity in character to establish who they are and what their motives could be, without them just standing up and reciting their biography to everyone.

Supporting the Templars also gives you the opportunity to temper Meredith insanity somewhat, such as the mission where you're sent to hunt down three missing mages and find one of them has just slipped off down the pub. You can go with an option of just telling him to finish his drink and go back to the Gallows when he's done.

If you play it just right you can actually get Fenris to lighten up a bit towards the end. And then sell him to Tevinter slavers! MWAHAHAHAHA!!! >D
