After realizing his blunder Daniel glanced around the empty gym. He was all alone, except for one boy leaning against the wall where the hole he had dug had previously been. Scarlet had been up at the front of the group and when she heard those without training sit in the front she plopped herself down front and center making sure she would have a spot where people would sit before her brother would show up.  She knew that he would undoubtedly try to sit next to her, but she didn't even want to see him.
