I've always found the notion of the *sight* of something driving someone insane curious (as it is one that is fairly hard for me to connect to, to the point where it [i]feels[/i] impossible despite me reading accounts of it supposedly happening ... although you could also argue that it was something else that induced the PTSD). I wonder how much something like this relates to the (in)ability to feel fear?
