Jack didn't miss that Penny didn't trust her, which confused her. The girl had asked for help and she had offered it. Why would the girl be so suspicious of her right away? To Jack, it made no sense. Luckily, Master Jack stepped in and took the unconscious man away. Looking back at Penny, Jack simply nodded before walking towards the guild's doorway, leaning against it as she waited to leave.

Elyse meanwhile laughed at Prince's antics and continued to play with his ears or pet his head. When Rose said they couldn't keep him, the little girl looked up at her mother, tears already in her eyes. Luckily, Rose knew what to say to keep her daughter from crying and Elyse smiled happily.

Amelia nodded at Master Jack's reply before he walked away. This gave her a few seconds to mull over the possibilities. Maybe there were others like her out there, that had also been experimented on. Or maybe there were others just born looking different from normal people. She glanced over at Prince, tempted to talk to him but saw that he was tired and otherwise occupied by the child from earlier. She was so lost in her thoughts, that she didn't notice Master Jack until he spoke, causing her to jump and quickly turn around, which caused the crystals on her wings to swing around wildly.
