I like it, but wouldn't it be more so of Ninjutsu? Or even Genjutsu since, essentially, afterimages are illusions of sorts. And idk, just thinking out loud here, but I think they'd be best suited being Raiton, so the whole theme of them being speed-based(that's what my experience with afterimages have been) comes full circle.
