Just to check, if this story is running nine years after the events of the film, and taking the rank of 'Ranger' as equivalent to a Lieutenant, would Mako and Raleigh be Majors now, or possibly Colonels due to their outstanding achievements?

[sup]Based off of standard British army promotion scales; which would put Lieutenant as upto 3 years service, Captain typically upto 8-10 years and Major after that with promotion to Colonel based on performance and achievements after at least 12 years active service.[/sup]
