The Contractor watched the entire display with a neutral expression, unmoved by Rose’s sudden brutality. No, sudden wasn’t the right term. Rose was like water. And water could be raging at times, like a hungry wave to consume all or the most horrid of storms. “I do not understand the source of your anger. Though I suppose you were simply getting irritated that the Primordial proved more durable than you originally deduced,” the Contractor said with a flick of its tail before turning to look at the downed Elise. “I also don’t understand your desire for combat and bloodshed Elise Augermann. You humans are too confusing to pick apart. However….” The white creature turned its unblinking gaze over to the black stone that the Primordial had left behind. No one knew what they were as they lacked a proper name. Furthermore, they seemed pretty useless anyway and served no real purpose. The Contractor had told all Magical Girls that these black stones were physical manifestations of the defeated Primordial’s negative energy and thus, needed to be disposed of. So they fed the stones to it like a pet. But in truth, not even it knew what function they held. That didn’t stop it from discovering a use for it though. Over at the other side of the city, the humans that had been knocked away from the Primordial’s field were now acting as if they had woken up from a night terror. Emiri’s barrier remained invisible and impassable to human standards. They were deaf to the inhuman screaming on the other side. The scythe wielding Primordial began to leak out thick, gray fluid that served as the creature’s life force. Those exploding mushrooms had caught it off guard though it did not completely deter it form hacking away. It did note the losing sheen to Emiri’s Soul Gem however and switched motions to focus on the golden Magical Girl once more in the hope of taking her out first. If a Magical Girl’s Soul Gem became completely corrupted with darkness, they would collapse on the spot with inescapable death. No one knows how to recover its luster once more though it seemed to gain color again on its own over time eventually, provided it wasn't overwhelmed with usage. Perhaps another topic the Contractor was ignorant of. Howling out with mad laughter, the unholy creature leapt into the air and twisted its bleeding body. With a lunge, it brought down the blade of its scythe towards Emiri with the hope of skewering her whole. Miyako would be next.
