Mayt's Mother's House
Mrs. Marris smirked a little at Penny's tone, but she was clearly not happy. "He really shouldn't of pushed himself so hard." She looked thoughtful for a moment before speaking. "First things first, I haven't seen him since he was ten, so I couldn't of known he was even capable of energy control magic. I only found out about two years ago, and three days ago was the first time I'd seen him in over a decade, so you can guess that didn't take top priority." Adjusting herself, Mayt's Mother locked her eyes on Penny. "What you need to know is that Mayt's magic is a lost magic passed down through the firstborns of my family through archive magic when they become old enough. I, with my husband, instead set up a system where we wouldn't have to do everything in our power to not do anything dangerous so I could pass the knowledge on. So after he was born I gave him all the knowledge that had been passed down to me, and then made it so he would only be able to recall the memories once he got to a certain age, or needed it. In Edolas the spell couldn't stay maintained and so he suffered from a flood of information, such as knowledge of every spell ever possible for his magic." She took a breath, wetting her lips. "As for the cost of his magic, the more he uses it, the more his magic power is entwined with his life. So if someone was to completely drain his magic power right now, he could die."
Melina Vale -- Mt. Hakobe Town
Melina charged forward after her opponent as he jumped backwards, but stopped once he propelled himself onto the building, as she had no way quick of getting up there. When he threw the cloud of smoke at her, she did use her weapon to send her as far back and away from it as possible, but didn't quite make it out, and found herself coughing and spluttering, then stumbling forward as a blow landed on the back of her head. As she stumbled forward, she focused on using her magic to fight any disease spreading through her system, and eliminate it if possible. It was times like this she idly wished she knew a bit more about her magic, but that was what she had grabbed the books for, right? Once she had recovered and the smoke cleared, she turned to face her opponent, who was talking, and walking away. The thought of calling him a coward crossed her mind, but that would make her a hypocrite. So she just lowered her weapon, chuckling. "Well damn. I'll have to go scold them now for ruining my fun. Though I can't berate them for murder until they start harassing me for it." Chuckling a little, she waved at him, in a way one would do to a friend who was leaving for a party. "Until we run into each other again and can finish this fight. Though we're more likely to end up on wanted posters next to one another than that." With that statement she began walking for the nearest alley that would take her to Damian and the others the fastest, quickly falling into a light jog.
Mithera -- Mt. Hakobe Town
Mithera barely managed to catch herself in flight when she was thrown away from the flying wizard, and dropped her head against her chest when he raised an arm and pointed at her as if to attack. When no attack came, she looked up to see Damian dispatching him, as well as another of the other wizards. Shaking her head, she felt oddly sick. She had seen Melina murder a thousand times but had never felt the same violent nausea she felt watching Damian kill. She didn't really have time to wonder about this, and she flew back a little, seeing that she wouldn't be useful at all trying to get anywhere near the dragon Hemlock, instead deciding to watch and mentally report what had happened to Melina, who was making her way to the site to join in whatever fight remained to happen. She wasn't happy that Damian had, in a sense, run off her 'playmate' before things could really get going.
