Ear piercings are fine on girls ( they can sometimes be rather nice actually) but really past that it begins to irk me. Unfortunately, I have associated facial with the benefit street... "girls"... of society. At least in the town where I live this seems to be kinda accurate, however I can not vouch for its accuracy in the rest of the world lol.

Boys, in my opinion, should not get piercings. I have seldom seen a male pull it off well in anyway, they generally range from "Wtf are you doing" to "you look a bit daft..."
